Flames prolific marksman and Moroka Swallows new signing Esau 'Black Mamba' Kanyenda finally flew to South Africa on Sunday to join the struggling Dube Birds who were at the time elbowing out Rainer Zobel from the head coach seat.

Since the announcement of his signing the Malawi international hasn't trained with Swallows as yet as he has been holed up back in his homeland.
With Swallows having fallen in desperate times Leon Prins - the Swallows boss - was pleased to announce that Kanyenda is now in the country.

"Esau has arrived in the country already and we are now in the process of getting his work permit sorted out after which he will become available for selection," Prins was quoted as saying by KickOff.com.

Kanyenda finally joins Swallows

'Black Mamba' as Kanyenda is affectionately known is now due to head off for his first training session on Tuesday afternoon possibly under the watchful eye of the new man in charge who is most likely to be Gordon Igesund.

Kanyenda has signed up to the end of the season and his arrival is set to make a difference in a team that has only managed two points out of a possible 27.

The 'Back Mamba' yesterday said he is looking forward to an new lease of life with the Birds. "I will try my level best so that we avoid the chop considering that was the ultimate reason of getting me on board.

"I am fit having been training with the national team there at home," Kanyenda said.

Another new signing Brad Ritson made his debut at the weekend against SuperSport United putting up a man of the match showing.
