FAM's STRUCTURE
FAM is comprised of
two main bodies: the Secretariat (which is headed by the Chief Executive
Officer) and the Executive body (comprised of members elected by 11 affiliating
bodies). The secretariat is currently based at Chiwembe Technical and
Development Centre in Limbe.
The Executive body
comprises of 9 elected members from the 11 affiliating bodies of the Football
Association and the Association's Chief Executive Officer who automatically
qualifies as General Secretary.
The body is headed
by a President who together with the rest of the executive members are
elected for a three year tenure of office.
The Secretariat staff
is led by the Chief Executive, who works hand-in-hand with the Management
Team (made up of departmental heads, listed below), to ensure that the
aims and objectives of the Association are met.
Major business, strategic
and commercial decisions are carried out by the Secretariat.
FAM PRESIDENT
Walter Nyamilandu-Manda
Leads the Malawian
football policy making body. He is the top most boss of the association.
In conjunction with fellow board members and the chief executive officer,
he steers the association's activities.
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Charles Nyirenda
Leads the secretariate
staff and works hand in hand with the management team
(made up of departmental heads)
Ensures that the aims
and objectives of the association are met.
ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
Sugzo Nyirenda
Responsible for
the day-to-day operational activities of the football Association. He
manages and controls the human resources of the association. He administers
the malawi national team's programs during training camps. He provides
management and administration of all competitions.
COMMERCIAL MANAGER
Casper Jangale
The commercial manager's
office aims to maximize FAM's revenue flows , which are supposed to be
channeled back into the game.
