Chinyama undergoes successful surgery


Flames defender Ian Chinyama underwent a successful face surgery last evening.
The defender suffered three fractures around the right eye and was admitted at Fern Crest Hospital in Rustenburg.
The three hour operation was very successful and the player will be discharged from hospital this morning.
” I am now feeling better and I would like to thank FAM and all the team members for the support,” said Chinyama.
He will be out of action for six weeks.
The Premier Bet Wizards defender was stretched off in the second half of the Flames’ second Cosafa Cup group A match against Mauritius on Tuesday after he collided with an opponent.
Ironically he hot injured on his debut.
